What a fantastic little find. Right off the Trail, delicious coffee, bacon and scrambled egg breakfast. Brownies 10/10 (according to my Brownie connoisseur 12 year old) highly recommend as a pitstop. Had the most stunning view as we feasted before the hike home. Lovely welcome. We will be back. Thank you for being awesome.

Second time we’ve been here. Really convenient for the trailway so a great stop off. Tea and some lovely Brownie was just what we needed. I’d definitely recommend this cafe and if it’s a sunny day use the benches outside to view the beautiful views across the valley.

The staff at black cafe were superb and the food/drink was so good! Highly recommend. We went for brunch on my hen do and had the private hire

We popped in for tea and cake whilst walking on the trail way and were really impressed. The cakes were delicious and very generous in portion size and it was a proper mug of tea not weak and tasteless as often served when out. We plan to come back to try the lunch menu as a nice selection all homemade. A great find!

Have just popped into the lovely, black cat cafe for a little coffee and treat. It's just off the trailway so perfect for cyclists or walkers to pick up some refreshments. Parking round the back for those of us in a car or motorcycle. Great coffee, hot chocolate, lovely tea and fabulous homemade rocky road treats.

This is a little gem of a cafe! Located between the trailway and the road between Durweston and Shillingstone it’s easily accessible by foot and by car with loads of parking. The cafe itself is warm and welcoming and beautifully decorated. It feels like a treat stepping through the door and being met with that fresh coffee smell. The people couldn’t have been more welcoming and the menu was really innovative with several vegan options which I was delighted to see! My partner and I indulged in homemade bacon, Brie and cranberry slices and vegan sausage rolls with coffee served in the loveliest mugs! Trust me, these things make a real difference. Add to that the excellent value (£12.50 for the two of us!) and this place deserves to do really well. Definitely worth stopping off mid walk along the trailway, or on your way through Shillingstone. By the way, the only reason I marked the cafe down slightly for atmosphere is because we were the only people in there for most of the time we were there. It was pouring with rain which seemed to keep people away which is a shame. I don’t remember there being any background music but perhaps that would make it feel less like every word you say can be heard by the staff at quiet times.
